Here’s what you need to know about our new offerings and how these simple changes will benefit both existing and future customers.

Our team of water experts at Autodesk have worked diligently over the last four years, expanding the functionality of InfoWorks ICM to make it as accessible and efficient as possible. Over that time, we’ve added lots of new options for customers like a free InfoWorks ICM Viewer, speedy cloud simulations for those who need maximum power, and functionality like our recent Subgrid Sampling for those who want very accurate simulations using only a simplified mesh.

We’re committed to flexibility for storm, sewer, and flood modelers, which is why today we’re announcing two new options for customers who don’t require access to every toolset available in InfoWorks ICM Ultimate: Introducing InfoWorks ICM Flood and InfoWorks ICM Sewer.

InfoWorks ICM Standard is now InfoWorks ICM Sewer

To begin with, InfoWorks ICM Standard is now called InfoWorks ICM Sewer:

InfoWorks ICM Sewer isn’t the only thing that’s changing. We’re also adding a new offering for those who only need to focus on flood modeling.

Introducing InfoWorks ICM Flood

We are excited to introduce a new offering – InfoWorks ICM Flood:

InfoWorks ICM Ultimate remains unchanged

InfoWorks ICM Ultimate will continue to offer comprehensive features, incorporating the functionality of both InfoWorks ICM Sewer and InfoWorks ICM Flood. If you’re already an InfoWorks ICM Ultimate customer, there’s no need to worry, your subscription still provides you access to the holistic comprehensive modeling capabilities you were already accustomed to.

What are these features that our current Ultimate customers already enjoy? InfoWorks ICM Ultimate includes a significant number of unique features that set it apart, such as desktop collaboration for modeling teams to simultaneously work on the same model, remote simulations, and scalar and spatial time series sensor data. We created a handy chart that shows you the core differences between these three InfoWorks ICM offerings.

Why we’re making these changes

Our goal at Autodesk is to serve the varying needs of storm, sewer, and flood markets by providing more specialized tools at competitive prices. By lowering the price for specific offerings and introducing new options, we’re aiming to give you greater choice and flexibility in selecting the feature sets that suit your work. InfoWorks ICM is still the most powerful, comprehensive, and accurate hydraulic modeling tool on the market, but now with new flexible options for how you take advantage of its capabilities – all within one holistic Autodesk ecosystem.

It’s important to note that Flood + Sewer doesn’t add up to Ultimate. InfoWorks ICM Ultimate remains the modeling powerhouse it’s always been, with its many unique features. But if you don’t need all the bells and whistles, you now have two additional options for your sewer- and flood-specific modeling needs.

What are the essential differences?

It may help to view this change from the standpoint of the kind of work you do:

These updates to InfoWorks ICM reflect our commitment to providing flexible, competitive, and industry-aligned solutions for storm, sewer, and flood modeling. We’re confident that these changes will offer greater value and choice to our customers, helping you achieve your project goals more efficiently.
