Georeferenced reality captures (point clouds) can be brought in AutoCAD Civil 3D software to not only visualize existing conditions, but to create surfaces of existing conditions. Imagine being able to verify the volume of a newly constructed detention pond down to a few cubic yards—not just from some random blob of points, but from data that fits into your construction documentation exactly. Going beyond the math, these you can use georeferenced point clouds in Navisworks software and InfraWorks software to visualize what was, what is, and what could be.
