Description

In this class participants will learn how to maximize the use of AutoCAD Map 3D software source drawings in a multiuser CAD environment. We will talk about supplying the DWG� geographic information system (GIS) CAD format for users' business needs. We will also cover the process of building source drawings from Oracle Spatial sources, and we'll discuss the distribution of source drawings across a WAN DFS system. Finally, we will cover source drawings and the mobile CAD user.

Jim Williams has a background in mechanical engineering and has provided training and integration services in AutoCAD software-based products. Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Jim is responsible for the development and implementation of the engineering software at SA Power Networks across the state of South Australia in his role as the company's CAD senior IT systems analyst. With 25 years of expertise in AutoCAD software training and experience in the Value Added Reseller (VAR) channel, he is responsible for the development of the use of Autodesk, Inc., technology at SA Power Networks for surveying, civil engineering, power distribution, public lighting, and substation design.
