Nicolas Mangon is a 25 year leader of the global development of 3D visualization and the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process across the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries. An accomplished structural engineer educated at the world-renowned Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Public’s Institution for Civil and Structural Engineering, Nicolas infuses his industry expertise in the continued development of innovative solutions for architects, engineers and contractors to optimize the life-cycle management of their projects. Mangon is tasked with leading the company’s strategy to move the AEC industry to the cloud for greater efficiency and collaboration across stakeholders and project sites. As Nicolas often notes, cloud collaboration and building information modeling are at the heart of the future of building things.
As vice president and general manager of Autodesk’s Construction Business Unit, Jim Lynch leads Autodesk’s efforts to create and deliver products and services that accelerate the construction industry’s transformation from analog-based processes to digital workflows. Jim manages all aspects of business operations within the Construction Business Unit, including product design and development, marketing, sales, and customer success. Jim and his team are focused on delivering innovative, cloud-based solutions to help the global construction industry reduce risk and increase margins using Autodesk construction products. Previously, Jim served as the company’s vice president of the Construction Product Group. In his 20+ year tenure at Autodesk, Jim has held a number of key leadership roles in AEC product development, product management, and marketing efforts. He was a key contributor in scaling Revit into one of Autodesk’s flagship products and establishing BIM as an industry standard. As a 30-year veteran of the CAD industry, Jim has served in a variety of senior management roles in the AEC, manufacturing, and electronic design automation industries. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College.
Sarah Hodges is director of the Autodesk Construction Business Line. During her time at Autodesk, Hodges has held various roles to help bring the Autodesk BIM portfolio to the marketplace in the education and commercial sectors. Over the past decade, Hodges has broadened her experiences across the AEC industry, leading teams in all segments and spending time with customers around the globe to understand their challenges and requirements. Currently Hodges is focused on the construction industry to understand and implement disruptive technological innovations, such as mobile and cloud, that are radically changing how projects are constructed and delivered. Prior to Autodesk, Hodges spent time in the media & entertainment industry, bringing to market and promoting B2B technologies to drive efficiencies in the post-production process.
