UPDATE: Fusion 360 Beta is now closed –

Documentation beta is still on-going (scroll down for download link).

Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for being interested in our beta program! We are very excited to get you up and running, but before you jump into the software, there are a couple of very important changes you need to be aware of so that you’ll have the best beta experience possible.

UPDATE:The beta download link is now available towards the bottom of the post; it is very important that you go through the following content before jumping into the beta software.

What’s new?

Fusion 360 has given us the opportunity to do something exceptionally unique for our community and users like you. We wanted to re-imagine the way you can iterate your designs, and then create an experience that really allowed you to take advantage of all the powerful technologies that Fusion 360 has to offer. The added functionalities aren’t just about designing in a parametric environment; its more about designing iteratively on a whole new level. Don’t worry, this version of the beta does not represent the final released product. It only features crucial components of a much more comprehensive product update coming in the near future. That update will still include all the direct modeling goodness and “sandbox” feel many of you have come to love.

Let’s Get Started

Never before has there been a design tool that combines intuitive organic surface modeling with an easy to use parametric system, all integrated with a comprehensive online collaboration network. This is a very powerful combination, so let’s work together and make this the best as it can be.

In response to your feedback, we’ve been hard at work on additional functionality for Fusion 360 which will allow you to create 2D mechanical drawings from your 3D models.  Today, we are going live with the first beta version of this documentation functionality.  With the supported workflow, you can place a set of basic views on a sheet and add dimensions and simple notes.  We encourage you to give it a try and tell us what you think.
