Now that database-driven projects are becoming increasingly common, it’s a good idea to know how to work with your database outside of AutoCAD P&ID software and AutoCAD Plant 3D software. This class will cover the use of AutoCAD P&ID software, AutoCAD Plant 3D software, and the project Microsoft SQL Database. Learn how to improve productivity and troubleshooting through the development of key concepts that will help you to best utilize the project database and the benefits it can provide. This class will also cover some tips and tricks for working with your project database, as well as some examples of what not to do with your database.

Daniel Cavanaugh received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University of Colorado, Denver. He is now a practicing electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineer at URS Corporation, an engineering, design, and construction firm. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, URS is a full-service, global organization with offices located in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Daniel has 3 years of experience designing instrumentation and control systems for a wide variety of plant and process projects for the mining industry and oil and gas industry. He provides Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation, SQL-server project database integration, and training for the corporation's CAE design software, including Plant Design Suite software, AutoCAD Plant 3D software, AutoCAD P&ID software, Elecdes Design Suite software, and more. Based in Denver, Colorado, this is Daniel's first visit to Autodesk University.

Julian supports real-time design using AutoCAD Design Suites software for multiple practices, including oil and gas and mining process engineering, civil works, and structural. Julian is an AutoCAD Certified Professional with more than 15 years of experience. His vast knowledge has enabled him to provide training and support within his field for the past 5 years. Julian's approach to teaching and public speaking creates a comfortable and productive learning environment. He has presented to clients and peers from numerous disciplines, ranging from groups of 5 people to those including 80 people.
