QUICK TIP: Face Groups

Let’s revisit the mesh workspace with this week’s QUICK TIP. Why, you might ask? The other day I had a coworker ask me why MY meshes were always that purpleish color, and his were not. This was a question I didn’t know the answer to, but the search for an answer led me on a journey of Fusion 360 discovery. The findings of which, are presented below:

 

 

As you can see, ‘face group’ is the short answer to the purple question. However, the long answer opens up powerful capability anyone working with meshes would be wise to use. The next time you’re working with the mesh workspace, ditch the selection paintbrush, and instead leverage the power of face groups!
