In the ever-evolving world of additive manufacturing, EOS stands out as the leading company in powder bed fusion 3D printing, specializing in industrial printers for polymer and metal applications. Beyond its printers, one of EOS’s standout offerings is the EOSPRINT for Autodesk® Fusion® App, proprietary software designed to help Fusion users optimize output from its machines. This tool is now readily available to all EOS users through a free download on the Autodesk App Store.
The EOSPRINT App enables Fusion users to assign individual EOS Material Sets and Exposure Sets. The app applies the original hatching algorithms of EOSPRINT and links Fusion to multiple EOS systems over the network, sending tasks directly to the selected 3D printer. To help with additive setup, the app provides access to all licensed EOS Material Sets and allows users to import customized Material Sets into Fusion as a Print Setting within the active Fusion document. These settings can be saved to the Fusion print setting library for future use.
Elevate your design and manufacturing processes with Autodesk Fusion
Once users complete part positioning and support addition, the app can calculate the build time for an EOS metal 3D printer natively in Fusion using EOSPRINT calculations. At this point, users can export the build file, called EOS Task, directly to the selected 3D printer. The app also connects to the EOS Store, enabling users to order powder directly from EOS and access certified online training through the EOS Additive Minds Academy.
“Thanks to Autodesk Fusion, you don’t need to export the CAD from one software to put it in a second one. Everything is on one interface, and that’s nice.”
—Cécile Laverrière, Application Engineer, EOS
With the collaboration between EOS and Autodesk Fusion, users now have a powerful, integrated toolset that enhances productivity, reduces barriers to entry, and streamlines the powder bed fusion additive manufacturing process, setting a new standard in the industry.
