Q: Will the dataset used for the iLogic example be available? A: Yes, we posted the file under Inventor Sample Files to Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) (file name: BrewMain_Drawing.zip, find here) . There are also more complex assemblies available that have nice rules and forms within it that will allow you to control and manipulate the dimension styles, colors, types, and placements using iLogic. (Find AKN here.)

Q: Are you using AutoCAD data in Inventor? A: Depending on whether it’s 2D or 3D AutoCAD data, you can reference AutoCAD drawings in Inventor models. You can also convert AutoCAD sketch geometry to Inventor sketch geometry through an import operation (or using copy/paste).

Q: What’s the future of Inventor and Fusion 360? A: We have many customers that use Inventor with automation, configuration, large assembly. Fusion is doing a lot around Manufacturing, Generative Design, Consumer Products. Both have a very big role within Autodesk, no change in how they’re sold or work together and we’re always working on tighter integration between the two.

Q: Can you measure inside of drawings? A: The ability to measure is in the 2021 release (but was also introduced and is available in the previous 2020.3 release).
