Mareike (Mika) Gercken is a User Experience Designer at Autodesk, Inc., responsible for StudioWall, Alias SpeedForm and Alias. Based in Germany, Mika studied Industrial Design and received her Master´s degree in Design and Media at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hanover. In her role as Graphic and UI Designer at Virtual Shape Research GmbH she developed Rhino plug-ins for Class A surfacing and visualization and designed digital tutorials. Started at Autodesk in 2013, Mika is working in the area of interaction and information architecture design for several Automotive software products, supports Automotive customers in Europe and presents at international Autodesk events. She practices user centered design principles basing design decisions on user needs and business goals and targets a clean, informative and natural design. In addition, Mika recently started to amplify her strong communication and mediation skills as Scrum Master.
