Prep School: Prepare Those Crazy Juvenile CAD Models for the Real-World of Simulation
Collapse Expand

This class will walk though techniques for preparing geometry for simulation using SimStudio Tools. We'll cover hints that will help you to identify potentially problematic areas, and then we'll show you how to quickly repair models, remove unneeded detail, and optimize the geometry in a way that will help you to create a high-quality finite element analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) mesh.

Key Learnings

  • Learn how to identify and repair problem geometry in imported CAD models
  • Learn how to simplify complex geometry to enable quicker and more robust Simulation meshes
  • Learn some of the not-so-obvious capabilities in SimStudio to become more efficient
  • Learn about round tripping between SimStudio and your Simulation application for iterative workflows
