Between 2012 and 2013, Autodesk Brazil developed content for Petrobras, which is one of the most well-known oil companies in the world. In Brazil, it is responsible for a large portion of exploration and production and almost all of the refining activities, creating and impacting directly a huge ecosystem of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects; equipment manufacturers; and construction companies. In this class, we go through the process of creating a new P&ID library and the 3D specs for this specific ecosystem. We discuss best practices and share lessons we learned. A Petrobras representative will be present to describe how Plant Design Suite fits into their business.
- Apply best practices when creating a P&ID library
- Explain how a third party can create a Plant 3D catalog without the Spec Editor
- Describe the value of using Autodesk plant design software for oil and gas business processes
- Create your own library of symbols and specs
