Description
In this class, we’ll take a look at some design decisions we might make that can make our production team’s work much harder than it needs to be. From features that are difficult to machine to part orientation considerations, the main takeaways from this class will, if applied appropriately, result in designs that are easier to machine and produce efficiently.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to identify features that will be difficult to efficiently machine
- Learn how to analyze existing designs with an eye to improving manufacturability
- Learn how to differentiate between types of tooling that will be required to machine modeled features
- Learn how design choices can impact the number of setups required for fabrication
