InfoWater Pro’s Leakage Allocator: improve your ROI-based decision making with asset management data

Trevor English Trevor English September 10, 2025

We’re pioneering a new approach to leakage modeling by tying it together with the wealth of asset management data that utilities regularly collect and maintain.

Water distribution systems are complex networks. One of the continual challenges faced by municipalities and utilities is managing leakage and ultimately reducing non-revenue water. Leakage problems represent a loss of valuable water resources, but they also impact the efficiency and sustainability of water distribution systems.

To help solve leakage problems, we’ve been working on new advanced leakage modeling features in InfoWater Pro. Through our latest release of with InfoWater Pro 2026.1, Autodesk has enhanced previous leakage modeling workflows and delivered a novel way to manage leakage by integrating asset management with advanced leakage modeling capabilities. We call it the Leakage Allocator.

How the Leakage Allocator works

InfoWater Pro 2026.1 offers a new approach to leakage allocation based on asset properties. This innovation for the water distribution industry ties together leakage modeling with asset management, allowing you to apply known leakage amounts to existing models while maintaining calibrated behavior.

The Leakage Allocator can help you:

Improved map performance and project synchronization

Another notable enhancement in this release is the significant improvement in map performance. By turning on the “In-memory Map Display” options, users can experience a fourfold increase in map display speed, improving both efficiency and reliability.

Additionally, the new project synchronization feature allows users to work locally and synchronize data to and from a shared server path with ease, ensuring better performance and reliability.

We’ve also introduced a simple feature to rebuild the map geodatabase if any issues arise, providing you with a straightforward solution to maintaining your map’s integrity.

Integrating with Info360

InfoWater Pro 2026.1 also brings added integration with our Info360 applications, creating opportunities for comprehensive water management strategies. Users can share results directly with Info360 Asset and Info360 Insight, enabling a flow of information between both platforms. This integration simplifies navigating various Info360 projects, enhancing the efficiency of different use cases.

Getting started with InfoWater Pro 2026.1

As we look toward the future, adopting advanced leakage management practices will be essential for sustainable water management. By updating to InfoWater Pro 2026.1, modelers and utilities can better track and manage non-revenue water, making more informed, data-driven decisions that promote efficiency and resource conservation.
