Autodesk Forma Carbon Insights (formerly Autodesk Insight) delivers total carbon analysis across Forma Building Design and Revit, helping teams understand carbon impacts in early-phase design workflows and carry those insights into detailed design. This makes it easier for teams of all sizes to participate in sustainability efforts and make informed decisions around reducing a building’s overall carbon footprint. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.

Easily get started in Forma Building Design

Forma Building Design is a new offering that makes early design exploration faster and lower-effort, helping architects quickly generate options, test performance, and define a clear direction before moving into Revit. Forma Carbon Insights is accessible from both Forma Building Design and Revit, enabling teams to act on the same carbon data, including embodied and operational carbon, from the start and throughout the project.*

In Forma Building Design, total carbon analysis powered by Forma Carbon Insights enables:

While understanding how to reduce carbon impacts is key to designing sustainable buildings, the ability to run these assessments has historically been isolated to specialist roles or workflows. With easy-to-use solutions like total carbon analysis powered by Forma Carbon Insights, firms can bring sustainability knowledge in-house and scale the capability to track carbon across teams.

Align on carbon insights across teams

With Forma Carbon Insights, you can now share dashboards across multi-disciplinary teams to visualize, track, and reduce carbon impacts together, transforming carbon analysis from a specialist task into a connected project or firm-wide capability.

Whether analysis begins in Revit or Forma Building Design, producing consistent assessments and collaborative insights from your cloud-hosted models allows for:

Access deeper carbon intelligence directly from Revit

Understanding how to best reduce carbon and optimize energy performance on projects is complex. As the next generation of Autodesk Insight, Forma Carbon Insights users can still start their models in Revit without needing to rework or model in a separate tool.
