Yes, Forma Carbon Insights is the next evolution of Autodesk Insight with enhanced capabilities, including a cloud-based workflow, collaborative insights, and integration with Forma Building Design. Users still start their models in Revit without needing to rework or model in a separate tool.

Forma Carbon Insights (formerly Insight) is included at no extra cost with Revit, the AEC Collection, or Forma for Buildings.

In Revit, go to the Analyze tab to run an energy and carbon analysis. You can then view your results in the cloud-based Forma Carbon Insights dashboards through your Autodesk account.

In Forma Building Design, run a carbon analysis to generate embodied, operational, and total carbon results directly in the app. From there, you can open your projects in Forma Carbon Insights for deeper analysis and more customization options. Autodesk Forma Carbon Insights doesn’t have standalone pricing and is included at no added cost with a Revit, AEC Collection, or Forma Building Design subscription.

Forma Carbon Insights is available directly from Revit. Generate an Energy Analytical Model (EAM) from your Revit model and use Forma Carbon Insights to run a detailed embodied, operational, and total carbon analysis powered by real BIM data. There, you can explore detailed carbon and energy analysis, optimize design trade-offs, and track key sustainability metrics. You can also use customizable dashboards to visualize options and clearly communicate outcomes with clients.

Forma Carbon Insights powers total carbon analysis in both Forma Building Design and Revit. In Forma Building Design, analysis is directly in-app for early-stage decision-making. In Revit, you can access the same total carbon analysis after uploading your energy analytical model to the cloud. Across both workflows, the same metrics and factors ensure consistent results. In Forma Carbon Insights, teams access a more advanced experience: deeper transparency, greater customization, advanced configuration, and shareable, collaborative dashboards.
