Transforming the Customer Experience with Effortless Spare Part Ordering
Digitizing and streamlining the process for replacing industrial parts
Maximizing uptime is critical for industrial processes, whether it’s a packing line or a mining operation. When a part needs to be replaced, companies need to get the correct part as quickly as possible, with minimum disruption. Yet the conventional process for identifying and buying replacement parts is time consuming and error prone, easily taking 7-10 days before an order can even be placed. Using Forge, CADshare has developed a cloud-based tool that combines 3D product data with customer and enterprise data, enabling customers to pinpoint and order parts accurately in minutes. Chris Acheson, CEO of CADshare, explores the importance of customer service in manufacturing and the possibilities for better operations when you a take a data-centric approach to not only design and fabrication, but maintenance and the entire product lifecycle.
