How United Services WLL was an early adopter of the Autodesk BIM 360 platform, part of the Autodesk Construction Cloud. How United Services wanted to leverage all the program’s features while getting more of its employees and subcontractors to use it. That’s when they turned to Autodesk Solution Provider Promedia for technical support and expanding their use of Autodesk products.
How United Services' relationship with Promedia began with an orientation on BIM Collaborate Pro. The Construction Manager wanted to highlight the power of the product and expand its use. What How United Services wanted out of Promedia was to utilize an Autodesk Solution Provider's support who will give them a clearer understanding of the business in terms of Autodesk products. The ideal solution would enable executives to view high-risk trends, activities and what was going on with all projects in progress.
Promedia has provided continuous technical support and trainings for BIM Collaborate Pro. Promedia developed a bespoke program to best meet How United Services’ specific needs. A sub-contractor sat down with company executives and project managers to understand how How United Services wanted their teams to use BIM Collaborate Pro.
They came up with three initial training modules around documents, project management and other BIM Collaborate Pro features. Promedia led three days of training, going module-by-module with How United Services’ project engineers and project managers.
Prior to implementing BIM Collaborate Pro across departments, How United Services had a lot of variances in access to project documentation. BIM Collaborate Pro improved How United Services access to data and ability to review projects, as well as improved internal and external collaboration. The Promedia-led training highlighted data analytics and the overview module to focus on company-level reporting, so executives could see high-risk trends, activities, and project overviews, giving them a clearer understanding of the business as a whole.
Tapping into Promedia’s expertise, How United Services has been able to harness the power of data insights and translate this information to projects across contractors and subcontractors. Having the data isn’t enough; executives need specific training to help them understand how to manage the business with improved insights. Partnering with Promedia enabled How United Services’ leadership team to quickly gain value from their BIM Collaborate Pro software investment.
