Meinhardt Group is one of the most respected Asian-based engineering companies in the world. Meinhardt Group is working on a prestigious project in Qatar. The order was secured with tight deadline commitments due to the Pandemic Situation and construction challenges. Moreover, in this project, drawings and models were developed in BIM. Meinhardt was using an on-premise BIM Collaboration setup and therefore were facing issues in file synchronizations and working from one office limitations.

Project goals

Meinhardt Group identified the following priority project goals: 1) Establish a cloud-based common data repository to collaborate and improve process efficiency of BIM work-sharing 2) Provide an overview of BIM 360 Collaborations 3) On-board the design team to start working with BIM 360 Platforms 4) Provide on-site and remote support guidance on setting up Project and Team Members in real-time projects 5) Provide support whenever needed

Solution

Salam Technology worked with Meinhardt end-to-end to identify the pain points, gave technical consultation on the issues they faced, and suggested an update to their BIM collaboration methods to enable collaboration from anywhere.
