Customer challenge

The consortium needs to select a Construction Project Management platform that will be used for the construction of a Iconic Government Building in Dubai. The platform should be capable to handle unlimited data storage, different design file formats and useful for sharing, collaboration, coordination and handover stage.

Project goals

The major goal was to select and implement a platform that can manage data from LOD 100 till LOD 500 and all related information as part of the maintenance facilities. Implement the CDE platform in a fast manner and be able to access the necessary documents, drawings, and 3d models on a centralized platform either from their desk or from the field. Train all the consultants, contractors, subcontractor and bring them on board into the platform at the start of the project.

Solution

ImageGrafix technical team performed an initial study and suggested the implementation of Autodesk Construction Cloud Platform with combination of different products and customized training. A detailed presentation by ImageGrafix along with Autodesk Team was done on Docs, Design, Coordinate, Build. A live training for 100+ engineers & hand-holding sessions, made them understand the real benefits and how to implement the CDE platform in their organization

Business outcome

After the Implementation and training are completed, based on their learnings they started to follow the CDE process in their live project. Project Managers, planning engineers, Design engineers, Draftsman, BIM Coordinator, Subconsultants, Subcontractors and document controller of different organizations were able to easily track the progress on the deliverable, pending tasks, etc.,

Conclusion

With ImageGrafix’s implementation process along with onsite training and continuous product support and efforts, the consortium started to use Autodesk BIM 360 platform at the very early stages of all the projects to enjoy the real benefits of CDE and they increased the licenses when the project moved to the next phase.
