Soul Machines Optimises Licenses for Scalable Operations with DVT

Soul Machines Optimises Licenses for Scalable Operations with DVT

Customer challenge

Established in 2016, Soul Machines is the leader in astonishing AGI whose Human OS Platform, featuring a patented Digital Brain, makes it possible to deliver the goodness of human and machine collaboration providing a safe, engaging, and powerful brand to consumers. Soul Machines combine the rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI) with Academy Award-winning animation skills to create virtual humans that are the closest yet to flesh and blood. And for brands, that offers the opportunity to put a very human-looking face on a corporate body. Soul Machines has been using the Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection in their pipeline and is pleased with the results the software has achieved. Soul Machines are transitioning to an outsourced procurement model and needed DVT to work with their new procurement provider to optimise their Autodesk licensing. The Media & Entertainment Collection includes a full suite of software including Maya, 3ds Max, MotionBuilder and Mudbox.

Project goals

Soul Machines had these key goals in mind: 1) Optimise the number of licences required for current needs. 2) Allow for growth in the future as significant expansion in the next 12 months is expected. 3) And at the same time, they wish to keep further investment on software licenses to a minimum.

Solution

After careful analysis of existing licencing contracts and current requirements, DVT came up with an optimal cost-effective solution for Soul Machines licencing without jeopardizing software access. This was presented in a simple diagram form so all stakeholders could easily understand the optimised solution and process involved with implementing the new model.

Business outcome

Soul Machines now have the best Autodesk licencing solution in place for their current needs and allows them to grow licences easily in the future as company growth continues. They have now, with DVT and Autodesk assistance, been able outsource their licencing procurement process allowing them to focus on their core business and not waste internal resources on the details of different vendor licencing systems.

Conclusion

DVT has successfully delivered a cost-effective solution to its client that fits their current requirements, is scalable for the future and delivers on their goal to have their licencing procurement outsourced.
