    Description

North Bund Lot 91 is a 480-meter, all-electric tower rising in Shanghai. On it, global teams at KPF used computational workflows to manage geometric complexity and streamline international collaboration. This session will explore how Rhino, Grasshopper, Microsoft Excel, and Rhino.Inside.Revit software were used alongside Revit software and Autodesk Construction Cloud to coordinate a megaproject at an unprecedented scale. By exchanging data instead of geometry and scripting the transfer of rationalized façade systems across platforms, the team ensured accuracy, constructability, and design fidelity throughout. We’ll show how these workflows helped the team document more than 20,000 façade panels, manage input from consultants around the world, and maintain a single source of truth in Revit. This session will demonstrate how computational thinking isn’t just for form generation—it’s the key to delivering the next generation of complex, collaborative architecture.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn about integrating computational workflows to streamline geometry transfer on large-scale architectural projects.
    • Learn about applying data-driven strategies to coordinate complex façades with global consultants using Excel and Revit.
    • Learn how to use Autodesk Construction Cloud to manage model fidelity and collaboration across international project teams.
    • Learn how to automate Revit model documentation using computational design tools and custom scripting.
