Igloo Studio won a contract with an international network and wanted to create opportunities for Thai Animators to work and compete internationally given the current economic uncertainties and pandemic situation in the world. They needed support in creating their team to establish software planning for use that could readily expand as they grew their business. Igloo Studio uses Autodesk Maya in their workflow and needed a process to expand their software requirements going forward.

Project goals

Igloo Studio set specific goals on how they wanted to expand their animation market to an international customer and requested assistance from VR Digital for their Autodesk Software needs. VR Digital helped to consult and advise on budgeting options and software that would match their requirements which included both Autodesk Maya and Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection in addition to collaboration tools such as Autodesk Shotgrid.

Solution

VR Digital assisted in the planning of a one year opportunity for the customer’s budgeting options to match the rate at which growth was expected with their animation business. VR Digital helped identify their various software needs ranging from Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection to include Autodesk Arnold to assist in their rendering needs to match with Single User Autodesk Maya licenses. This plan was communicated to the Autodesk Media & Entertainment team as a planned process and has since been put into place with quarterly orders.

Business outcome

VR Digital was able to assist our customer in their Autodesk software needs to match those of their business needs. Customer was satisfied in that the plan prepared to include both Autodesk Maya and the Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection was able to solve both their business needs as well as their budget requirements.
