Human Farm VFX Studio - WFH New Normal

Human Farm VFX Studio - WFH New Normal

Customer challenge

In the current economic uncertainty and Covid-19 crisis, Human Farm VFX Studio has had to re-organize working processes and workflows in upholding its aspirations to “fulfill your desire with a spectacular creativity”. Human Farm has been using Autodesk Software for the past several years starting from Autodesk Maya and on to Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection and needed to be able to access their network licenses from home.

Project goals

VR Digital was consulted to give advice on the planning process of using Human Farm’s software effectively, efficiently and within budget. Staff had to work from home and still be able to access all their software needs to create their work. Human Farm needed to make use of their Autodesk Media & Entertainment Network licenses within their team without additional budget given the constraints of not being in their office.

Solution

VR Digital took our customer’s requirements into consideration for software optimization and utilization by transitioning to a named user. Starting from software usage requirements, number of users and downtime, long term policies and budgeting, we advised customer on trading-in Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection with multi-user subscription to single-user subscription which is the best option as being in line with their overall requirements and most importantly within budget.

Business outcome

Customer was able to make use of all required software programs maintaining their credibility within their market. With their Autodesk ID and named user, customer can easily optimize licensing costs, have visibility into software usage data and reduce downtime. Human Farm was able to convert their network licensing within their Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection for use within their team.

Conclusion

Human Farm VFX Studio was able to take advantage of transition to named user which in turn enabled them to maximize software usage of the Autodesk Media & Entertainment Collection together with Autodesk Arnold rendering and other included software. They were able to maintain their working processes and adapt to the current situation.
