We see MEP as a structural element within the building design. We develop MEP design solutions for integrated workflows within BIM processes, and always think outside the box and expand the possibilities of collaborative design.
With our further developments, we are actively breaking new ground to enable consistent BIM designing and make it usable for all users.
Our solutions are developed in close cooperation with planners, construction companies, and manufacturers in a relationship based on trust. Since over 30 years, we stand for the highest level of expertise in the field of technical calculation and CAD design, and we deliver solutions for the entire MEP sector from a single source: drawing, calculation, simulation, and 3D design programs—seamlessly integrated, easy to use, and therefore easy to learn.
We make the Autodesk Platforms a real easy to use MEP Design Solution without interfaces.

"Especially in combination with Autodesk Revit, LINEAR’s applications enable precise BIM designs. Thus, we regularly convince our customers with depth of detail, accuracy, and low-collision MEP models for direct implementation on the construction site."
The company "Co van de Horst" entrusted our customer JK Vloerverwarming with the installation of underfloor heating/cooling on the 26th and 27th floor including a 12 meter high atrium. JK Vloerverwarming, as a specialist provider in the area of surface heating, has relied on the LINEAR software solutions for many years. In this way, both the heating and cooling loads were calculated, as well as the surface systems were precisely designed with the system data from JK Vloerverwarming. For connecting the systems to local or district heating networks, correct dimensioning and balancing of the primary pipe network are important in order to comply with the specifications of the utility company. With the help of LINEAR pipe network calculations, all pipes were perfectly dimensioned and hydraulically balanced. LINEAR's 3D design tools were also used. The model can also be made available for BIM applications without data loss through the proprietary IFC interface. Zuidas is a neighborhood that will see many more changes in the upcoming years. Through its involvement in the Valley, JK Vloerverwarming will soon also be contributing its systems expertise to the next "Cross Over" project.
Our customer Uponor implemented one of the largest orders in the company's history together with its subsidiary KaMo. In Frankfurt's Grand Tower, Germany's highest residential complex, all 401 apartments and penthouses will be equipped with dwelling stations from the manufacturer from Ehingen. Decisive for this are the high demands on the heating and cooling supply of the luxury condominiums. The solutions developed specifically for the project ensure optimum individual temperature comfort for the residents and clear separation of the primary and secondary networks in the building. The compact stations are supplied as a complete package with pre-wired control technology, which ensures fast processes on the construction site. In addition, around 300,000 m of pipe of the Uponor Comfort Pipe type will be used for the underfloor heating in the high-rise residential building. Uponor used the LINEAR Solutions for all design and calculation tasks.
System supplier Viega has created a Europe-wide reference project for the future of construction with the construction of a new interactive training center, the approximately 12,000-square-meter “Viega World” at its site in Attendorn-Ennest. System supplier Viega has created a Europe-wide reference project for the future of construction with the construction of a new interactive training center, the approximately 12,000-square-meter “Viega World” at its site in Attendorn-Ennest. This is because it is the first time that a building for educational purposes has been realized in such a consistently integrated way using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) working methodology. Many of the insights gained since the foundation stone was laid in May 2018 have therefore already been incorporated into the relevant standards and regulations. The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) has already awarded “Viega World” Platinum, the highest possible preliminary certification for sustainable building. LINEAR Solutions were used for the MEP design within this consistent BIM workflow.
COOPERATION IN AN OPEN SYSTEM The intensive cooperation of everyone involved in the project in the cross-trade coordination model was exciting pioneer work. The head of the overall project had no experience as to the effect his structural specifications would have on the data transfer in the project communication system. Proven 2D-capable structures could not be simply transfered; even the usual identification by floor doesn’t work in IFC files, because they always include the entire model across all levels. Even if every designer already had model experience personally, work in the big open BIM with the exchange of information among involved designers first had to establish itself: The design work for the entire building was done according to the BIM method: Architects Structural engineers MEP design (PGMM) Laboratory design (PGMM) PGMM worked with the LINEAR software solutions. The choice for company-wide introduction was made using a requirement matrix. Inter alia, the following criteria were used to test and evaluate various software tools: 3D and BIM-capability Software development to be expected Calculation tool for all mechanical trades Open interfaces
The Bavarian municipality of Fuchstal has one goal: to expand its municipal generation capacities and become energy self-sufficient. A decisive step in this process is the connection between electricity and heating sectors. In order to drive this expansion forward and achieve this goal, a 5,000 m³ large buffer storage tank from Hans van Bebber is being used as part of the project. This was a conscious decision that not only contributes to the energy transition, but also results in increased economic efficiency for the municipality. The LINEAR software solutions were chosen for designing and implementation of the project.
Boydens Engineering is a construction engineering and research office that is active in the conceptualisation, design and inspection of technical construction installations. We strive deliberately with a great sense of responsibility for sustainability in energy-neutral construction. Kurt Corvers, managing director and partner of Boydens Engineering, explains how his engineering office converts concepts into sustainable designs and how Arkance System helps. Their latest showpiece is the 'Gare Maritime' office space on the Brussels Tour & Taxis site. Computational power and energy data are essential elements in achieving sustainable designs. We have been using LINEAR, a powerful and accurate 3D calculation tool, for over fifteen years. In the meantime, we use the same basic thermal model of a building to better integrate and simplify thermal modelling in 3D and dynamic simulations. We came into contact with Arkance Systems during an event in 2016. Since then, we have continued to implement LINEAR in our BIM environment and communicate with our offices abroad through a platform set up by Arkance Systems (BIM 360 Design).
