Customer challenge

PT. Hutama Karya Jalan Tol (HKJT) was appointed by government as the owner of Trans Sumatera Toll Road and mandated to implemented BIM workflow in the project. HKJT has experience in using Autodesk Civil 3D as design tools, but they realize that Autodesk BIM tools are more than that. They have the needs to implement Autodesk BIM workflow from concept to design and engineering stages to achieve a seamless workflow, and furthermore they realize that they need to implement CDE (Common Data Environment) platform to manage their design & engineering data from many and various project stake holders.

HKJT require product training and technical assistance in developing BIM model, BIM workflow and BIM documentation to achieve: - Better (real time) coordination and collaboration among project stake holders - Achieving synchronized design & construction data from all consultants - Better design presentation utilizing BIM model and rendering technology - Optimizing design process

After finished with the program, HKJT was able to achieve better and more efficient communication and coordination model among project stake holders and upgrade their BIM team skill and knowledge. They are now benefiting from utilizing Autodesk Infraworks for concept development, Autodesk Revit for toll road utility buildings design & Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection, instead of just utilizing Civil 3D only. They were also achieving a better collaboration works and smoother communication among project entities and better managed design data by implementing CDE platform in the project. HKJT currently give mandate for all their consultants to use Autodesk Docs, at the least, to be in the same platform with them as the project owner.
