The AECO industry continues to face challenges with implementing AI, bridging technical skills gaps, and ensuring privacy and safety with third-party tools like Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and product APIs. These hurdles impact productivity and innovation.
Autodesk Assistant is our future vision for an agentic AI partner. One that delivers real-time answers, proactive insights, and tailored recommendations. Designed to connect seamlessly across Autodesk products, third-party tools, product APIs, and eventually Trusted MCP servers, it will bring together the information and workflows you rely on into a unified, collaborative experience that elevates how you create, build, and deliver.
Live Demo of Autodesk Assistant in Revit at AU 2025

At AU 2025, we shared an early glimpse of our exploration for the Autodesk Assistant in Revit. The presentation offered a look at how we’re thinking about bringing greater clarity and flow to everyday work—helping users interact with their models more naturally, surface the information they need, and reduce the burden of repetitive tasks. The concepts we showed were designed to spark conversation about how artificial intelligence could one day support design, documentation, and decision-making in intuitive ways.
Throughout these early ideas, one theme remained central: the Autodesk Assistant is envisioned as a supportive partner, helping experts stay in their creative zone while it handles the busy work. These explorations highlight the possibilities we’re considering as we imagine how Revit users can stay focused on doing their best work.
In the future, Autodesk Assistant will simplify cross-product workflows through a context-aware intelligent assistant accessible from one interface. It will expand with new capabilities powered by trusted MCP servers, CAD and physics-informed foundation models, and other Autodesk AI technologies. These advancements will surface key functionality currently embedded across standalone products and make it easier for customers to get the help they need, when and where they need it.
For Revit, this means enabling richer product help, smarter model queries, streamlined task automation and insight-driven workflow customization—all working together to support better outcomes.
