Architects and BIM teams are generating AI images faster than ever. But outputs rarely connect back to real materials, specifications, or fabrication. This session will draw on three MIT Architecture and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) research projects to show exactly where the design-to-build pipeline breaks down and what fixes it. What we'll cover includes steering AI image generation with element-level references, matching rendered materials back into BIM specifications, and connecting natural language to robotic assembly each finding maps to a workflow that practitioners can act on. You'll leave with research-backed behavioral changes where AI tools genuinely add value in their pipelines and where the gaps need bridging.

Projects shouldn't feel like starting over at every phase yet they often do, leading to lost data, and rework. This interactive lab tackles that challenge through a full lifecycle experience with Autodesk Forma. Experience how one connected workflow can take a project from AI-powered site planning in Forma Site Design, through data management and collaboration, to construction outcomes. Along the way, you'll step into different project roles, experience real-world scenarios, make critical decisions, and achieve the best results across the lifecycle. You won't just learn the workflow you'll experience it, making it memorable and directly applicable to your projects.

Attendees will learn how we combined custom-built and off‑the‑shelf MCP servers to reduce administrative tasks, connect data across systems, and support engineers and site teams with a personal assistant (JARVIS). We'll discuss architectural decisions, key challenges, lessons learned, and show live examples of MCPs delivering measurable value on real projects.

Autodesk tools generate some of the most complex documentation in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), yet reviewing and coordinating it still takes hours of manual effort, with errors slipping through. Join Nomic for a live 20-minute demo of purpose-built vision-language models that catch issues earlier, reduce rework, and give teams back time on every project. We'll show three workflows running on real AEC projects: 1) Drawing QA/QC: catching coordination issues and cross-discipline conflicts before they become RFIs or change orders; 2) Submittal reviews: extracting, comparing, and validating data against specs with findings cited to source; 3) Automated code compliance: surfacing violations on sheets early in design, referenced to applicable code sections. Each demo will pair with real ROI data from firms running Nomic in production, so you'll leave with a clear picture of what deployment delivers. Nomic's AI is built for drawings, specs, and complex documentation: inspectable, governable, and grounded in your project data.

AI is increasing output across construction teams, but many leaders are seeing a quieter problem: more-polished work, less ownership. With more options come harder decisions. This strategy talk will use one concrete story and a practical framework to show how to adopt AI without eroding the judgment that experienced builders, designers, and owners have earned the hard way. You'll learn how to separate AI-assisted production from the human decision making that takes decades to develop. We'll discuss how leaders in the industry add thinking checkpoints within workflows that make teams faster while preserving their precious (and playful) cognition.

Electrical VDC teams routinely enter coordination late, racing to populate models while other trades claim space first. This talk shows how Owen Electric used AI-powered conduit routing to shift that dynamic across three complex jobs in three months. Instead of manually entering electrical data, the team embedded that information from the start and then explored routing options allowing for faster decisions and optimal layout. The result: modeling time cut in half, tens of thousands of feet of conduit populated, in days rather than weeks, returning time back to specs, submittals, and constructability reviews. Attendees leave with a framework to walk into the first coordination meeting fully populated as well as practical tactics to build infill data early so a lean team can take on bigger, more complex scope and meaningfully grow capacity.

When the United Arab Emirates set its Net Zero 2050 target, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) faced a critical challenge: Project data was spread across disconnected systems in seven emirates, creating delays, inconsistency, and poor visibility. This session will share how the MOEI moved to a connected delivery model using Autodesk Forma, scaled ISO 19650-aligned BIM standards nationally, created a single source of truth, and used AI-powered environmental analysis to support better design decisions. We'll also share what failed, how we handled resistance, and the lessons learned. You'll leave with a practical road map you can apply to government and institutional projects immediately.

Megaprojects don't just require more resources. They require a fundamentally different approach to planning, communication, and accountability. When hundreds of trades converge on a single site over years of construction, the gap between the schedule on paper and the field can compound into costly delays. Klas Berghede (VP of production and innovation at Boldt) and Michael Wong (head of customer success at Outbuild) share how Boldt integrated Outbuild with Autodesk Forma to bring structure, real-time visibility, and field alignment to Boldt's most complex projects, connecting master schedules with weekly lookaheads and field data with the office to drive faster, more confident decisions at scale.
