The AU Class Selection Process
For a small group of people at Autodesk, Autodesk University (AU) is a year-round project. As the content manager for AU, I am part of this group, and one of the most difficult parts of my job is now coming to an end. The Submissions Are In!
The AU 2011 Call for Proposals is now closed. Starting Monday, May 9, a team of nearly 200 industry experts and track managers began pouring over the class proposals. We are excited to see proposals from over 700 veteran AU speakers. We're also pleasantly surprised that 300 additional Autodesk® product users are willing to step up to the microphone and contribute to AU. "New blood" keeps AU fresh—we try to have about 20 percent new speakers every year.
A few more fun stats:
2,250 total proposals submitted
1,043 professionals, representing 647 companies, proposed at least one class
Proposals a...
