What’s coming to AU 2014? More tailored experiences

Are you looking for an AU experience that really focuses on your industry or special area of interest? This year, we’re building on the success of our more tailored experiences from last year, such as the Automotive Summit and the Education Summit, to bring similar offerings to more industries. In addition, at AU 2014 we’ll have PowerTracks.

Industry-specific summits

With these focused offerings in mind, we looked at all of the proposals and chose classes that would most enhance the experience of our attendees in each of these industries:

  • Infrastructure
  • Construction
  • Architecture
  • Education
  • Reality Computing
  • Automotive

Just to give you a taste of what’s coming (although the curriculum is still preliminary), here are some of the classes we’re offering for the Reality Computing experience:

  • From 3D Scanning to 3D Printing for Integrated Reality Projects
  • Shirts versus Skins: The Ultimate Reality Capture versus Virtual Model Showdown
  • Extreme Reality Computing from a Hexacopter

And for Infrastructure, you can expect classes such as these:

  • Grading: Anything Is Possible
  • Tales from the Road: Corridor Modeling Best Practices
  • Attack of the Roundabouts! Conquer Them with Autodesk® Vehicle Tracking
  • Cracking the Vault: Implementing Autodesk® Vault Professional into Civil/Survey Firms

PowerTracks

These classes have always been some of the most popular offerings for AU attendees who wanted a more focused experience at AU, and this year will be no exception.  Each PowerTrack class is part of a series that builds on the previous ones to create a complete curriculum. Here are a few we’ll be offering:

  • InfraWorks 360
  • Alias for Transportation and Industrial Designers
  • BIM for Rail
  • VDC Managers
  • Moldflow

We hope this whets your appetite a bit. Stay tuned for more on these programs and classes as we fine tune the AU 2014 curriculum.
