AU Las Vegas 2019 is off to a powerful start with a record 12,000+ attendees. In classrooms, on the mainstage, in the Expo, and everywhere in between, people are sharing knowledge, building skills, and adding perspective.
Along with classes and Theater presentations, Tuesday brought an amazing showcase of leading projects from the worlds of architecture, engineering, and construction at the AEC Customer Showcase Celebration Breakfast.
At the opening General Session, we learned how automation can help us create better and more meaningful work while also creating a path to prosperity for more people. Autodesk President and CEO Andrew Anagnost shared examples of the better workflows and better outcomes emerging from companies like Marriott, VW, and Airbus, and introduced us to Build Change, a nonprofit using automation to retrofit substandard housing around the world. Automation provides a path to better, but progress depends just as much on people as the technology. If you missed it, you can watch the recording on the live stream.
After the General Session, we stepped into the Expo for the first time to experience inspiring projects from the worlds of manufacturing, architecture, and engineering. We connected with thought leaders and colleagues in the Industry Quads. And, of course, we took in over 200 learning sessions and meetups throughout the day.
In the afternoon, we joined leading infrastructure professionals for thoughtful discussions on technology, automation, and digitization at the Transportation Summit.
The best part? We get to do it all again. Today’s schedule includes the Architecture, Engineering & Construction Keynote and the Design & Manufacturing Keynote, the AutoCAD Keynote, and then the Design Slam.
