AU 2011 By the Numbers
AU 2011 gets underway tonight with the AU Leadership Forum. I know that many of you are curious about the numbers. The short version is that AU 2011 is bigger, better, and more well-attended than last year. Without further ado and with apologies to Harper's Index, here are some preliminary numbers for AU 2011:
- Number of registered attendees for AU 2011: 8074
- Countries represented at AU 2010: 89
- Percent of attendees from the United States: 72
- Number of attendees from next top five countries: Canada–516, United Kingdom–180, Germany-118, Australia–89, Sweden–76
- Greatest distance to travel to attend AU: 10,135 miles from South Africa
- Number of proposals submitted: over 2500
- Number of classes, including AU Virtual: about 1000
- Number of attendees enrolled in the three most popular classes:
- 600 – 90 AutoCAD® Tips in 90 Minutes
- 494 – Getting the Most out of AutoCAD® 2012
- 423 - Autodesk® Revit® Family Counseling
- Number of attendees signed up for the AU Freshman Orientation: 850
- Number of unique hands-on labs at AU 2011: 75
- Number of exhibitor attendees: 390
- Number of exhibits: 182 (includes AU Virtual exhibits)
- Number of guests: 145
- Number of hotel rooms booked: 29,665
- Cost of AU Virtual in US dollars: 0
