I was born in Austria in 1955 and after finishing may basic school education I studied mechanical engineering in an engineering high school which I finished with an engineers degree in 1975. Then I joined the Technical university in the city of Graz, Austria to study process engineering which I finished with a MSC degree in 1982. My professional career started with company Andritz also in Graz, Austria where I am still employeed. During my work at Andritz I have covered many positions as manager and head of R&D, sales, quality and service for machinery and plants for filtration and drying of various products in different applications from municipal- to chemical-, mining- up to biomass- and food industry. In may last roll within this now so called "Separation" Division my responsibility was the development of Smart Services in order to support many internal service processes. When this became a global initiative last year may appointment was changed and I became Manager of the Smart Service programm. Therefore I joined from there on the Andritz IT department in order to follow up this program on a global basis. First task was to develop a spare part catalog where we eventually have chosen Autodesk as partner for creating this catalog in a joint agile approach. Actually this task was performed in a record time meaning it took us 4 month until the MVP was ready and another 5 months to roll-out the spare part catalog for internal user testing and go-live for the day to day spare part business.
