Design a Better AU Experience

Autodesk University Call for Proposals is open, and we are grouping sessions into the same tracks as in the past.  But is this the best way?  With over 600 sessions planned for this year’s AU (and many more on AU Online), is this the best way to organize the content and make it easy to find content one is looking for? Does it help you discover new content, and even content you would not have looked for?  Should PowerTracks be organized by Autodesk product , industry, or workflow? To help us shed some light on this situation, please give us one minute of your time and complete... READ MORE >

AU Conference Bags Now On Sale!

Did you get a bag at AU 2008?  Did you know they are made from recycled materials from banners used at AU (and other Autodesk Events) over the last few years?  We have several hundred left over and thought it would be a neat idea to make them available to anyone who may not have been able to go to AU, or who only knows AU virtually (through AU Online) or anyone else who just wants to spread the joy of AU.  The cost of the bag (US$29.99) is less than what we paid and is mostly to cover handling. Cut&Paste Digital Design Tournament 2009

At AU 2008, we introduced the AU Design Slam, a live design competition produced by Cut&Paste. The Design Slam featured an industrial and an architectural competition in two 20-minute rounds. Tanya and Chris were able to convince very talented designers and architects to participate. The first round of the AU Design Slam took place in an intimate setting with about 500 guests and was an exclusive Cut&Paste production. The second round of the Slam was held as part of the AU Party, and over 7000 filled the hall at the Venetian conference center. Response from participants, attendees, an... READ MORE >

The highest possible rating is 10. This year, we received feedback from 49.7% of all attendees of all sessions and the average speaker rating was 8.44. The AU team takes these results seriou... The New AU Online

Little over one week since AU, and this is my first blog posting. Usually, I take a week's vacation at this time of year—one week in Mexico or something like this—to recuperate from AU. I work on AU all year, and the last few months before the event usually require “a little more” than eight hours per day. This year, I did not go to Mexico because we also launched the new AU Online website. Many of you have experienced the new site already, (we've had 38,758 unique visitors since it launched last Monday) and I trust you have seen the improvements. Those of you who have used AU Online since the... READ MORE >
