Having different ways of communicating to stay up-to-date with design changes and new documents in a project is difficult which results in the loss of information and miscommunication.
This goal of the project is to offer designers who are involved in designing stage of projects to have access to the latest information they need anytime and anywhere. The project goals are per below:
Taking considerations of capabilities and experiences of Minconsult, we, Reliant Design Solutions propose Autodesk Docs on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platform to achieve the project goals that have been identified to continue being a trailblazer in industry. With Autodesk Docs, Minconsult will be able to have access of project documents anytime and anywhere they require as it uses the ACC cloud platform.
Autodesk Docs have features to organize project documents. This feature, it granting permission setting to the document folders to control the degree of access of project members. Each project members in same project will have different visibility of document folders and what they can do with the documents. In the lowest permission level, a member can only view the documents while the members with highest permission level would have a full administrative control. This helps the project members stay on track responsibilities only. Autodesk Docs also offers a comparison of models or drawings that are uploaded on the platform. Project members are able to compare before and after model changes on cloud; areas that have been modified, added, and removed from the models or drawings. Project members are also able to flag issue related to the design and notify the other members to rectify it. These processes are tracked and recorder on the ACC platform.
The review feature in Autodesk Docs offers ease in gaining approval that uses an automated process. The relevant stakeholders will be notified whenever through their email – allowing them to approve or disapprove of it.
All these features and Autodesk Docs offers benefits and have been introduced to Minconsult’s designers who use Autodesk Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Collection licenses during the Autodesk Docs workshop organized by Reliant Design Solutions earlier this year. The designers joined the workshop and participated to understand the workflows better.
Minconsult now aware the solution of the project goals is achievable with Autodesk Docs which exist in the designers current AEC Collection license. It helps them to stay focus on any changes on design and do review and approve model and documentations in automation way.
Workshop organized by Reliant Design Solutions has helped Minconsult to have a streamlined workflows of Autodesk Docs to have the right information of project anytime anywhere.
