B.S.Y. Construction (BSY) is specialized in the construction industry. Almost 90% of their construction projects are warehouses and factories. They are also working together with several leading companies in Thailand, such as Do Home and Home Pro. BSY needed a software solution that enabled them to work more efficiently, but was easy to learn and use for their team.

Project goals

The following project goals were identified: 1. Enhance the knowledge and ability of BSY's Architects and Engineers to design using Building Information Modeling (BIM) 2. Increase their design efficiency and make business workflows

Solution

Our team at M Technologies deployed the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection as the software solution. Afterwards, we provided Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage training to the staff in the Design Division and the Cost Estimation Division at BSY's headquarters. Additionally, we looked into redoing projects which were already completed to find and improve their process.

Business outcome

All project goals were met. The Autodesk software fits BSY's needs and, as a result, through our design training using Building Information Modeling (BIM), their Architects and Engineers increased their efficiency to design significantly. The business workflows that we used to improve their process also helped aid their efficiency.

Conclusion

At present, several construction projects of BSY have been managed using BIM. All the work can now be completed by the internal staff themselves. Moreover, the Design Division can also support some other projects of the company.
