They always want to improve their employees to be an expert in each discipline of their works. So, the Shop-drawings production works is an important key to complete and has a successful construction project. BIM also now is the requirement from Owners and Developers.

Chiangmai Rimdoi Public Company Limited had 2 main goals: - Implement Autodesk BIM in every new construction projects - Minimize the rectification works due to drawings’ mistakes in every construction projects

Solution

From the above challenge, we arranged the training session and assign our specialists to help and consulting them for the technical issues and team setting-up towards the year. They start using Autodesk Revit to create the 3D BIM Model for some pilot projects which have complexity for each discipline of works. The created 3D BIM Model of structural works, architectural works and Autodesk MEP works have been combined and checked the conflicts. After the checking process completed, they use Autodesk Revit to produce the shop-drawings and other important details of the construction works. They also export to Autodesk AutoCAD file to use the 2D-Drawings Paper based on-site.

Chiangmai Rimdoi Public Company Limited has increases the number of projects using Autodesk Revit to work in their Bidding Process and Shop-drawings production process. The number of users and their skills of Model production works, 2D-drawings production works and Quantity take-off works also increasing.
