TTB Public Company Limited is one of the largest banking firms in Thailand. The company has many buildings which must be operated and maintained including more than 400 branches. The Maintenance Department, which is assigned to take care of all the buildings throughout the country, tries to find the solution to manage and control their assets which must be used in each branch and must be transferred to different branches for different usage purposes.

Project goals

TTB Public Company Limited had two (2) main goals: 1) Find a new solution to identify and see how many buildings they have and how they really look like. 2) Manage the tons of assets they have, know where they are, and assign to needed users.

Solution

From the above challenges, the company started considering the use of Autodesk Revit to create the BIM Model of their Headquarters as a pilot project. The Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection has been purchased. We arranged the training session to them and assigned our specialists to help consult with them throughout the year. They also use a 3D Laser Scanner to create point cloud images of the Mechanical and Electrical Room which is very complicated. They also use Autodesk ReCap to open the point cloud files and use that 3D data to create the BIM Model of their Headquarters.

Business outcome

TTB Public Company Limited has started to use the 3D BIM Model to integrate with their Facility Management procedures to help to organize the maintenance activities and cycles. The Company now also knows where the important assets have been used like in which department, and on which floor. And they can plan to migrate the assets to other more demanding departments.

Conclusion

TTB Public Company Limited has started to expand their teams and create more BIM Models of the other remaining branches to have better management of their buildings and their assets. The firm’s management team is also very satisfied of the new solution that the Maintenance Department provided.
