Cory Mogk works in Autodesk Research on a variety of projects and collaborative partnerships. He also runs an innovation program to help people hack the system and bring their great ideas to life. Mogk started his career as a technical illustrator in engineering and he quickly gravitated to CAD and 3D design visualization. From there, it was a short trip to creating computer graphics for film, television, and games. He worked as an application consultant writing courses and training artists and programmers. With a solid understanding of the creation process and being passionate about customer needs, Mogk became the product design manager for Maya software and eventually the product line manager for Maya software and the Entertainment Creation Suites. A lifelong learner, Mogk has studied animation, architecture, business, computer science, improvisation, and music. Feel free to use any of these as a springboard to discuss the cool things that Autodesk Research is doing and potential collaborations.
