Public Authority for Industry (PAI) is an autonomous authority under the supervision of the Minister of Commerce & Industry. The purpose of such an establishment was developing, promoting and supervising the industrial activity in the State of Kuwait, through encouraging local industries, protecting and expanding the production base to including strategic goods required for national and nutritional security, and this would diversify national income sources which is a main goal for PAI.
Being a major player, PAI wanted a solution for increasing its productivity in designing the space for companies as well as building the roads leading to the companies. It also wanted to have enhanced drawing coordination and interoperability with its other products.
Key Objectives were identified as follows:
1) Reduce coordination issues in the drawing files
2) Maintain the same high quality standards
3) Reduce the time required in processing the approvals
Grand International Company installed and activated Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil3D Licenses to PAI that enabled them to come up with a complete solution that made PAI improve their productivity.
PAI was able to reduce the current processing time by using AutoCAD and Civil3D licenses which improved the overall productivity of is design department, and in turn provided better results in approvals. Civil3D software enabled them to build the approach roads and byroads in a much better way without consuming much time.
PAI achieved improved productivity in their projects and hence decided to buy the licenses from the Autodesk portfolio. With the success they are receiving from the proper usage of the software, they intend to continue using and procure more complementary solutions which can improve productivity and further reduce the timeline.
