HP at AU 2025: Transforming Design & Make Workflows

Each year at AU we gather to celebrate and amplify the Design & Make community. This year, we’re thrilled to spotlight our collaboration with HP, showcasing how HP Z workstations and solutions are transforming the future of advanced workflows. AU is our chance to connect with creative minds; to share innovations that help you achieve your best work.

Our partnership with HP is built on the foundation of ensuring you get the best performance when using Autodesk software. Together, we’ve worked to deliver optimized experiences across architecture, engineering, construction, as well as product design workflows. It’s all about providing makers with the tools and technology to do their work seamlessly and effectively.

Advancements in AI-driven design and immersive visualization is enabling our partnership to continuously empower users to achieve high-performance outcomes that not only address today’s demands but also lay the foundation for tomorrow’s innovations

Spotlight: Human Centered Design with Zaha Hadid Architects

With a special focus on thought leadership in the Design & Make space, this year HP hosted a special class at AU: “Designing for the Individual: Human-Centered Architecture and Immersive Workflows at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA).”

Partnering with Autodesk, HP provided the technology powering ZHA’s advanced design pipelines, highlighting solutions like HP AI Studio and HP Z Boost. This collaboration is pushing the boundaries of design technology, making workflows more adaptable and ready for the future. Using AI and VR to tailor each project based on detailed client profiling and spatial scenario testing, ensuring designs meet individual preferences for openness, privacy, atmosphere, and function,

The session took a deeper look into ZHA’s process, exploring how materials, engineering systems, and fabrication strategies can be integrated, while staying connected to the client’s routines and emotional experiences. Immersive tools like 360° renderings and real-time simulations made the design process interactive and participatory.

This presentation highlights ZHA’s vision of design as adaptive and scalable. Instead of applying a single methodology to every project, ZHA leverages a unified digital backbone that produces countless tailored outcomes. This approach embraces collaboration across multiple authors, ensuring that the complexity and requirements of 21st-century buildings and cities can be addressed with precision and creativity.

With new tools and methods reshaping architectural practice and offering insights into the future of participatory and technologically integrated design, we are actively reframing architectural design as an adaptive, user-driven system: responsive to individual needs, scalable across project types, and powered by emerging technologies that foster clarity, specificity, and spatial empathy.

This innovative approach demonstrates the potential for personalized, integrated designs that are both adaptive and scalable. This collaboration highlights how Autodesk and HP are pushing the frontier of design technology, advancing workflows that are adaptable, cooperative, and future-forward.

As our marquee sponsor, HP also helped bring to life the Factory Experience at AU. This year, the Fusion team and Rochester Institute of Design students created a multi-tool for attendees to build and take home. Check out our YouTube page on how the unique and innovative design and collaboration came together, supported by HP.

As we celebrate AU 2025, it’s clear that our collaboration with HP is driving remarkable advancements in the Design & Make workflows. By working hand-in-hand, we are committed to providing you with solutions that enhance your creativity and efficiency. Here’s to more innovative designs and groundbreaking projects with Autodesk and HP leading the way!
