Autodesk University Reaches a Membership Milestone!
AU received a special Valentine’s present this year when the 100,000th member joined Autodesk University on February 14. This milestone is particularly exciting because AU Virtual played a key role in pushing this number over the threshold. Thanks to all who participated in this new AU event!
We like to think that our efforts to make Autodesk University a year-round, interactive, multimedia learning and networking destination for the Autodesk community is paying off, and activity on the site is one way we can gauge this.
Since January 2008, interest in the AU site has shown a dramatic increase:
- Unique member logins on the AU website have increased by 298% over last year at this time.
- New members doubled from 350 per week on average in 2009 to 700 per week thus far in 2010.
- Overall traffic to the site has increased by 25% since January 1, 2010.
- More than 423,000 downloads of class handouts have occurred since January 2008.
- Close to 100,000 session screencasts have been watched over the past 12 months.
Our goal for 2010 is to continue to extend our reach beyond North America to the international Autodesk community. Going forward, we will continue to deliver high-quality training and networking capabilities using the most innovative technologies available.
