AU Quarterly Newsletter Introduces Community Spotlight Series
The June 2010 AU Quarterly should be arriving in your email box any minute. One thing that this issue introduces is a new series of articles called Community Spotlight. This series focuses on companies, organizations, and individuals who derive significant benefit from Autodesk University’s annual conference, as well as other AU events and online resources.
First in this series is an interview with veteran AU speaker, Jim Balding, Director of BIM at WATG and Director of WimberlyLabs, WATG’s Technology R&D arm. I really enjoyed interviewing Jim about how his company derives value every year from Autodesk University. WATG is a well-recognized international design firm for the hospitality, leisure, and entertainment industries. Jim’s company has looked to Autodesk University since 2002 to demonstrate their leadership by teaching AU classes, meeting with their associates, customers, and vendors, and conferring with Autodesk executives and software developers.
And be sure to look at the article in this issue on the “Top 10 Most Popular AU Classes Ever!” These “nuts-and-bolts” classes are real gems that have helped many in the AU community advance their knowledge about how to use Autodesk products in real-world situations. Many of these top-rated speakers have expressed interest in returning to Autodesk University to teach this year.
