Multiple moving parts and stakeholders are involved in getting construction projects from design to handover. When project-related communications are not linked to the project, it can increase the likelihood of scattered communication and potential risk. What if you could track all project correspondence in a single location? Well, now you can! With the Correspondence tool in Autodesk Forma, teams can create and manage internal and external project communication in a centralized and connected environment. In this session, Granite Construction will share how the firm used the tool on multiple projects to create a communication repository, working collaboratively with the Autodesk product team to provide feedback during the beta. The product team will showcase the power of the Correspondence tool, and highlight key features on the road map to make the tool a primary mode of communication to take your projects to the next level.

As a main contractor working in a fragmented industry, Square Engineering Firm faces significant challenges when it comes to quality and cost management. In this industry talk, we will discuss how Square, a leading main contractor, in partnership with KEMET Corporation, a service provider with extensive experience in the field, has maximized the power of the Cost Management module in Forma Build in the management of all project contracts and payments. We'll showcase how the Cost Management module enhanced the visibility and transparency of project costs, which led to gradual adoption and all of Square's projects now being live in Forma Build and the Cost Management module. Moreover, we will discuss how we extended the value of this tool by integrating it with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, which enabled us to centralize data sources, ensure data integrity, and reconcile accounting and project management rapidly.

In 2022, Gaylor Electric, a large electrical contractor in the United States, went all in with the beta version of Progress Tracking in Forma Build. Using the data provided, we were able to accurately assess the percentage of completion on many multimillion-dollar projects. Everyone on the project could easily access the data from a tablet and have detailed conversations surrounding the project's pace. When Progress Tracking moved to Assets at the beginning of 2023, we packed our bags and brought in our Information Services Team. With their help, we've created a dashboard that is more detailed and provides access to the granular detail of progress on our projects. Follow along with our journey so we can all provide better insight into the progress on construction projects.

Luxembourg railway owner began its digital transformation journey in 2017, improving quality and efficiency for construction projects through cloud-based project delivery. There are many main subjects for asset management, including maintenance building, earthworks platform, permanent way, overhead lines, signaling, and telecommunications. One specific aspect to the country is to have external project design offices and many subcontractors, using multidisciplinary design management based on Autodesk technologies, including Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, InfraWorks, and Forma Design Collaborationducts. The geographical aspect is taken into consideration through connected building information modeling (BIM) and geographic information system (GIS). During this class, you will discover why a common data environment platform and products ecosystem save time and information for the delivery plan, and support supply chains, and how process owner mandates can be imposed on local markets, and what solutions are found to develop a business model dedicated to railway infrastructure.

This course will give you an overview of civil asset management at Denver International Airport. What are the civil assets? Denver International Airport (DEN) has a campus size of roughly 34,000 acres. DEN Asset Management is tasked with tracking existing and new assets across the entire airport. Learn how the Digital Facilities and Infrastructure (DFI) group in DEN Asset Management manages airport models and asset models. DFI is tracking 200+ projects at the airport. The Autodesk Forma Asset Module has model linking so that changes to the models are pushed into the Forma Build environment in Autodesk Forma. In this class, you will see a demo of how asset model linking is done based on criteria loaded into the models by our design consultants. DEN is completing an inventory of airfield stormwater structures. You'll learn how the collection of the data via electronic means has saved time and effort. And you'll see how, as an owner, the data can be used as we manage the civil assets into the future across our maintenance and engineering teams.

Technology in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is changing rapidly. To keep up with this accelerated pace, VHB is stating that our default design practice will be model-based design (MBD) by 2025. This means training 800+ Civil 3D users in more-automated, connected, and advanced workflows. We recognize that to create this large-scale shift we need to train a generation of innovative and inspiring coaches to help guide others through this change. Advanced MBD Training was created to mold 10% of our Civil 3D users into MBD Project Coaches. As MBD Project Coaches, they'll be expected to advance MBD from automating processes to creating more-efficient workflows. The training will focus not only on our core tool, Civil 3D, but it will also include Dynamo, InfraWorks software, Subassembly Composer, Grading Optimization, ArcGIS Connector, Autodesk Forma, and Twinmotion. This session will walk through how we built and implemented this program to accelerate change at VHB.
