Earn AIA learning units at AU
Looking to check off your AIA continuing education requirements while you're at AU? We've got that covered, too.
As AI continues to reshape the way we design and make, staying current with the latest tools and best practices has never been more important. If you're an architect and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), you know that maintaining your professional credentials requires earning 18 AIA-approved Learning Units (LUs) each year, including 12 in the Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) category.
At AU 2026, we're offering more than 330 in-person sessions that qualify for AIA Learning Units, including five AIA HSW-approved sessions designed to help you meet your annual continuing education requirements while exploring the latest innovations in design, sustainability, digital twins, AI, and BIM.

How to receive your AIA credits
To ensure you receive credit for eligible AU sessions, reach out to au.info@autodesk.com to have your AIA member number added to your attendee information.
After AU, Autodesk will submit your verified attendance directly to AIA, and your earned credits will appear on your AIA transcript.
