Potential AU Speakers: Listen Up!

New Year, New Experience, New Requirements

We want AU 2011 attendees go home with exciting new ideas, valuable tips and tricks, and a fresh look at what they can do with Autodesk® software. The AU Team knows we can count on AU speakers to provide great classes, but we want to make sure specific topics get covered. And we've made a few other changes you'll want to know about before submitting a proposal. For a summary and access to details, read What's New for AU 2011.

Get Topical. This year, we're asking for classes on specific topic areas in each track. Take a look at the tracks and the topic categories listed. If you don't have an idea yet, this is a great place to find one. (Another great place is the AU 2011 Class Suggestions Forum.)

Check Out Class Changes. By popular demand, lectures, labs, panels, and unconference sessions will be 90 minutes long at AU 2011. You'll have more time to present more in-depth material and have more interaction with attendees.

A new class type, seminar, allows extended exploration of a topic. Seminars take up two or more 90-minute periods.

This year, virtual classes will be 45 minutes. No fancy green screen—you will record your class using screen-recording software. Also, AU will present classes at AU Virtual events in September, October, and November as well as during AU 2011.

What's Your Type? When you submit your proposal, be sure to specify the content type for your class. Some attendees want to learn about technical features and workflows, while others are interested in management, industry trends, or case studies. Specifying the content type helps you and interested attendees find each other.

The Call for Proposals is open from now until May 6. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
