Join the fun in the Autodesk 360 lounge at AU 2013

Since September 3, Autodesk employees have been using and testing our soon-to-be-announced cloud collaboration product in an exciting competition that will culminate at Autodesk University in our Autodesk 360 lounge. Come to the lounge see what they created!

At total of 60 employees in 14 teams from offices all over world are competing in this contest. Their only requirement: use the new cloud collaboration product and report on its usability and capabilities. So far, the product’s implementation team has received good feedback from the contestants—over 100 distinct reports.

For the design phase, contestants can use any of our Autodesk® products, such as Autodesk® SketchBook®, Autodesk® Inventor®, or Autodesk® Revit®.

Muppet2The projects, which can be anything, include digital puppetry (at left), a puzzle, planters that identify when the plant needs watering, LEDs that dynamically indicate energy use in a building, and a robot that can sketch what it sees.

After collaborating and brainstorming on a design, the teams will make their projects at our Autodesk Workshop at Pier 9 in San Francisco.

A panel of judges will select the final 4 projects on November 15. You can see these projects in the Autodesk 360 lounge. During the conference, a judge will choose the winning entry in the lounge.

We’ll let you know the date and time for the awards ceremony as soon as we have it.
