Integrating Model-Based Takeoff: Skanska + Assemble

In this presentation, Skanska USA Building will share one of its approaches for integrating model-based takeoffs in the preconstruction process. We’ll present the workflows and toolsets for using design models in conceptual, schematic, and design development in regards to quantity takeoff. The presentation will highlight benefits of using Assemble for model-based takeoff, as well as the process of extracting quantities, conditioning and validating 3D models, and understanding how the available data can be used and enriched for downstream workflows. We’ll present Skanska workflows and lesson plans and how we’re training our teams on the use of Assemble on a national level. This session will cover lessons learned during implementation and training and best practices identified during the implementation.
