New ways to network at AU 2016

If you’ve been to AU before, you know that a key benefit of attending is meeting others in your field who are solving the same challenges as you. There’s nothing like a handshake and a real live conversation to get your gears turning. We’re always looking for new ways to strengthen our community and help everyone who’s a part of AU make meaningful connections. This year, we’ve added a number of new opportunities for you to expand your network. Take advantage and make the most of your AU—at the event, and all year round. Here’s what’s new: The Hub It’s not just for registration—stop by anytime for games, activities, events, and fun. The Hub is the place to meet people and mingle all week long. Meet-Up Café Need a quiet spot to carry on the conversations and brainstorms sparked by so many AU classes? At the Meet-Up Café, located just off The Hub, you can reserve a table for a specific time or just show up. We’ll have coffee, tea, and meeting supplies on hand. Welcome Reception Everyone is invited to join us in The Hub for drinks, snacks, and games Monday evening. It’s a great chance to find your feet before classes begin. Monday, November 14, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Community Reception Wind down after your first day of classes while exploring the Exhibit Hall, and meet like-minded professionals and peers. Grab a drink, and don't forget your business cards. Tuesday, November 15, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Women at AU Networking Reception Ladies—join us in The Hub for our first ever all-female networking event. Meet other women in your industry, strengthen bonds, and connect over cocktails. Wednesday, November 16, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Party at the Promenade We’re mixing things up this year and taking over 1 of Las Vegas’s highest-flying venues for the very first time. Enjoy food, drinks, and fun for everyone. Wednesday, November 16, 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Farewell Happy Hour Solidify your new connections over a final cocktail on us before you pack your bags and head home. Thursday, November 17, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. AU mobile app Find and connect with other attendees who share your interests using the new “People like me” mobile app feature.
