Autodesk University 2009 Classes

View a draft of the AU 2009 class schedule.

AU 2009 registration is scheduled to go live in a few weeks. With the help of 20,000 public votes and a large team of industry experts, we whittled down over 1,600 proposals to approximately 55image0 sessions. With repeat classes (which will be scheduled later), AU 2009 will have over 650 sessions, giving attendees more options and greater accessibility to learning content.

AU classes are scheduled differently this year. Rather than spreading content over 3 1/2 days, we are building a very intense learning experience spread over 3 full days. AU will start on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. and the last class will end at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. AU 2009 will close with the AU Party on Thursday night.

Having no classes on Friday provides greater flexibility with travel, and even though we are cutting out the two 90-minute sessions on Friday, attendees will have access to the same amount of learning hours as in the past. Those staying in Vegas will have the option to join us for “virtual” sessions on Friday. The AU 3-Day, All-Inclusive Pass still includes 4 nights of hotel accommodations at the Mandalay Bay, Luxor, or Venetian during the conference.

What content can you expect at this year’s AU?

  • Five advanced PowerTracks, including one for CAD Managers
  • Design Leadership classes
  • 75 hands-on labs with more space
  • Product training covering almost every Autodesk product and led by industry experts
  • Free product certification
  • Unconference sessions

Please keep in mind that the schedule and offerings discussed here for this year’s AU are subject to change.
